Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro Moss Green wall light need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes, the Kiro is hardwired, which means it connects directly to your mains wiring and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with Building Regulations Part P. It's typically mounted to a standard BESA box or backplate. If you're replacing an existing wall light in the same location, the job is usually straightforward, but any new circuit work will require certification.
Can this wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable, but you'll need to fit a compatible G9 LED bulb and use an appropriate LED-compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LEDs dim smoothly, so it's worth choosing a good-quality dimmable bulb from a reputable brand. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the final result depends on both your bulb and dimmer working together properly.
What size G9 bulb fits the Kiro small ceramic wall light?
The Kiro takes a single standard G9 capsule bulb with the two-pin fitting. With a shade depth of 120mm, most compact G9 LEDs will fit comfortably, but avoid oversized or decorative G9 bulbs that exceed about 50-60mm in length. A 2.5W to 4W G9 LED is typically plenty for the warm ambient wash this fitting produces.
Is the Kiro wall light suitable for bathrooms?
No, the Kiro is rated IP20, which means it has no moisture protection and is only suitable for dry interior spaces. For bathrooms, you'd need a minimum of IP44 (or IP65 for zones 1 and 2), so this fitting should be kept to hallways, bedrooms, living rooms, and other areas without direct water exposure.
How big is the small Kiro wall light and how much does it project from the wall?
The small Kiro measures 205mm wide by 165mm tall, with a depth of 120mm projecting from the wall. It weighs 700g, so it's a compact, lightweight fitting well-suited to narrower walls, alcoves, or either side of a bed or mirror. There is also a larger size available if you need more presence or are lighting a bigger space.
What kind of light does the Kiro ceramic wall light produce?
The Kiro's cone-shaped ceramic shade directs light both upwards and downwards, creating a soft wash on the wall rather than projecting into the room. This makes it ideal for ambient or accent lighting in hallways, bedrooms, and living spaces where you want a gentle, glare-free glow. The final colour temperature and brightness depend entirely on which G9 bulb you choose — warm white (2700K) is typical for a cosy effect.
