Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

What dimmer switch do I need for the Nimbus GU10 LED bulb?
This bulb requires a leading edge (TRIAC) dimmer switch to function properly. Standard trailing edge dimmers designed for low-voltage LEDs may cause flickering or reduced dimming range. The Nimbus dims smoothly down to 25% brightness when paired with a compatible leading edge dimmer.
How bright is this 3.7W GU10 LED compared to a halogen bulb?
At 350 lumens, this 3.7W LED is roughly equivalent to a 35W halogen GU10 in brightness. It's ideal for accent lighting, spotlighting artwork, or task lighting in kitchens and living spaces, though you may need multiple bulbs for general room lighting in larger areas.

At 54mm in height, this is a standard-size GU10 bulb that will fit most GU10 spotlight fittings. However, if your fitting has a particularly shallow recess or decorative housing, it's worth measuring the available depth to ensure the bulb won't protrude. The frosted glass finish is 39g, making it light enough for any standard GU10 socket.
