Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

What type of bulb does the Nube 40 cm pendant light take and is one included?
This pendant uses a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb with a maximum wattage of 7W, and no bulb is included in the box. We'd recommend an LED E27 bulb in either warm white (2700K) or neutral white (3000K-4000K) depending on your preference. Make sure to choose a dimmable LED bulb if you plan to use a dimmer switch with this fitting.
Can this pendant light be dimmed?
Yes, the Nube is dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a trailing edge dimmer switch. Trailing edge dimmers are specifically designed for LED bulbs and provide smoother, flicker-free dimming compared to older leading edge dimmers. You'll need to purchase both the dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer separately if you don't already have them installed.
Do I need an electrician to install this pendant light?
Yes, this is a hardwired ceiling light and under Part P of the UK Building Regulations, installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or a competent person registered with an approved scheme. The fitting is rated as 'easy' to install for professionals and comes with a standard ceiling rose that mounts to plasterboard, timber joists, or concrete ceilings.
