Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Santorini corner wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, this is a mains-wired wall light that must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK Building Regulations Part P. It requires connection to your household 230V mains supply, typically via a junction box or spur behind the fitting. The installation pack includes mounting screws and plugs, but all electrical connections must be completed by a competent person.
What type of bulb does the Santorini corner wall light use and is one included?
The Santorini uses a single E14 SES (Small Edison Screw) bulb with a maximum wattage of 13W. A bulb is not included with the fitting, so you'll need to purchase one separately. For best results with the upward light throw, we recommend an E14 LED candle or golf ball bulb in your preferred colour temperature.
Can the Santorini corner wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the fitting itself is dimmable, but you'll need to ensure you purchase a dimmable E14 LED bulb and have a compatible LED dimmer switch installed. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so look for bulbs specifically marked as dimmable and check they're compatible with your dimmer type to avoid flickering or buzzing.
What are the exact dimensions of the Santorini corner wall light?
The Santorini measures 290mm in height, 210mm in width, and projects 115mm from the corner where two walls meet. Because it's designed specifically for corner mounting, you'll need to account for its placement at the junction of two walls rather than on a single flat surface.
Can I paint the Santorini wall light to match my wall colour?
Yes, the Santorini is made from paintable white plaster specifically so you can paint it to match your walls exactly. Use standard emulsion paint and allow the fitting to fully cure after painting before installation. This allows the light to blend seamlessly into your décor or disappear entirely into the wall colour.
Is the Santorini corner wall light suitable for bathrooms?
No, this is an indoor plaster wall light with no IP rating, making it unsuitable for bathrooms or any areas with high moisture. Plaster fittings are porous and can be damaged by humidity and splashes. Use this light only in dry indoor spaces such as living rooms, hallways, or bedrooms.
