Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Wara travertine wall light require an electrician to install?
Yes, this is a hardwired fitting and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The Wara mounts to plasterboard, brick, or masonry walls and connects directly to your mains wiring. Installation is classed as easy for a competent spark, typically taking 20–30 minutes if a suitable backplate or wiring point already exists.
What bulb does this wall light take and is one included?
The Wara uses a single G9 capsule bulb with a maximum wattage of 5W, and no bulb is included in the box. You'll need to purchase a G9 LED bulb separately — we recommend a warm white (2700K–3000K) dimmable G9 if you want dimming functionality. Standard G9 LEDs are widely available and very energy-efficient at this low wattage.
Can the Wara wall light be dimmed?
Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a trailing edge dimmer switch. The fixture itself supports dimming, but you must use a dimmable LED bulb and ensure your dimmer is compatible with low-wattage LEDs. Non-dimmable bulbs will work but won't dim, and leading edge dimmers may cause flickering.
What are the dimensions of this semi-circular wall light?
The Wara measures 175mm wide, 130mm high, and projects 50mm from the wall. Its compact half-moon profile makes it ideal for narrower spaces like hallways, landings, and alcoves where you want ambient uplighting and downlighting without a bulky fitting.
Is this travertine wall light suitable for bathrooms?
No, the Wara has an IP20 rating, meaning it's only suitable for dry indoor locations and offers no protection against moisture. It cannot be used in bathrooms or any other areas where it may be exposed to steam, splashes, or damp conditions.
Is each travertine wall light identical or do they vary?
Each Wara is made from natural travertine stone, so every piece will have unique veining, subtle pitting, and slight colour variation. This is an inherent characteristic of the material and adds to the organic, artisanal quality of the fitting. Expect natural variation rather than uniformity if ordering multiple units.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
