What bulbs do I need for the Enju Travertine & Light Wood Pendant Light?
You'll need three E27 bulbs (standard Edison screw fitting), with a maximum wattage of 12W each. Bulbs are not included with the fitting. For a warm, natural glow that complements the travertine and wood materials, consider 2700K–3000K LED bulbs. If you want dimming capability, make sure to purchase dimmable E27 bulbs and pair them with a trailing edge dimmer switch.
Does the Enju pendant light require an electrician to install?
Yes, an electrician is required. This is a hardwired Class I pendant light that must be permanently connected to your mains electrical supply. Under Part P of the UK Building Regulations, installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or a competent person who can self-certify the work. The fitting itself is rated as easy to install once the electrical connection is made.
Can I adjust the hanging height of this 3-light pendant?
Yes, the height is adjustable. The fitting has a maximum drop of 1500mm from ceiling to the bottom of the shades, with a 1.5m cable length that allows you to shorten it to suit your ceiling height and table position. Your electrician can adjust the suspension during installation to achieve the ideal height for your dining table or kitchen island.
Is this pendant light dimmable?
Yes, the Enju is dimmable when fitted with dimmable E27 bulbs and connected to a trailing edge dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but you must purchase dimmable bulbs separately and ensure your electrician installs a compatible trailing edge dimmer. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will work at full brightness but won't dim.
What room size and ceiling type is the Enju 650mm pendant suitable for?
With a width of 650mm, the Enju works beautifully over dining tables (ideally 1400–1800mm long) or kitchen islands in medium to large rooms. It can be mounted on plasterboard, timber joist, or concrete ceilings. The three-light configuration provides good illumination spread, making it ideal for task and ambient lighting in dining areas, though actual brightness will depend on the bulb lumens you choose.
Can I use this travertine pendant light in a bathroom?
No, the Enju is not suitable for bathrooms. It has an IP20 rating, which means it's only protected against solid objects and has no moisture resistance. IP20 fittings are designed for dry indoor locations only and do not meet the requirements for bathroom zones, where at least IP44 (and higher ratings closer to water sources) are required.
