What bulb do I need for the Hoshi travertine pendant light?
The Hoshi takes a single E27 screw-in bulb with a maximum wattage of 12W. The bulb is not included, so you'll need to purchase one separately. For best results with the natural travertine shade, consider a warm white LED (2700K-3000K) E27 bulb, which will complement the earthy tones of the stone and wood materials.
Can the Hoshi pendant light be dimmed?
Yes, the Hoshi is dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable E27 bulb and a trailing edge dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming functionality, but you must use a dimmable LED bulb and ensure your dimmer switch is suitable for LED loads. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.
What are the dimensions of the Hoshi pendant and is the cable length adjustable?
The Hoshi measures 200mm in diameter with a total drop of 1500mm from ceiling to base. The cable length is 1.5 metres and is height-adjustable, allowing you to shorten the suspension to suit your ceiling height and room layout. This makes it ideal for positioning above dining tables or kitchen islands where a specific hanging height is needed.
Is the Hoshi travertine pendant suitable for bathrooms?
No, the Hoshi is rated IP20 and is only suitable for indoor dry locations. It cannot be used in bathrooms or any areas where it may be exposed to moisture, as it lacks the necessary IP44 or higher rating required for bathroom zones. Use this pendant in living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, or hallways instead.
