Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Is this wall light dimmable and what type of dimmer do I need?
Yes, the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light is dimmable. However, dimming performance depends entirely on the G9 bulb you install — you'll need a dimmable G9 bulb paired with a compatible dimmer switch (LED bulbs typically require trailing-edge dimmers, while halogen bulbs work with most standard dimmers). The fixture itself supports dimming once the correct bulb and dimmer combination is in place.
What size G9 bulb fits the Kiro small wall light and how bright should it be?
The Kiro takes a single G9 capsule bulb (the small two-pin type). With a depth of 120mm and cone-shaped ceramic shade, most standard G9 bulbs will fit comfortably, though we'd recommend avoiding oversized decorative G9s. For ambient wall washing, a 3-5W LED G9 (roughly 250-400 lumens) provides a soft glow, while a 28W halogen delivers a warmer, brighter effect if preferred.
Can I use the Kiro Midnight Green wall light in a bathroom?
No, this wall light is rated IP20, which means it has no moisture protection and is suitable for dry indoor areas only. UK bathroom zones require minimum IP44 (zones 1 and 2) or IP65 (zone 0), so the Kiro should be installed in hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, or dining areas instead.
What are the exact dimensions of the small Kiro wall light?
The small Kiro measures 205mm wide, 165mm high, and projects 120mm from the wall. At 700g, it's relatively lightweight for a ceramic fitting. These compact dimensions make it ideal for flanking doorways, beside beds, or in tighter spaces where you want subtle wall washing without a large visual footprint.
Does the Kiro throw light into the room or just up and down the wall?
The Kiro's cone-shaped ceramic shade is designed to wash light upwards and downwards along the wall surface, creating a soft vertical band of glare-free illumination. It doesn't project a beam outward into the room, making it ideal for ambient lighting, corridor accents, or architectural highlighting rather than task lighting or primary room illumination.
