Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro ceramic wall light need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes. The Kiro is a hardwired wall light, meaning it connects directly to your mains wiring rather than plugging into a socket. Under UK Building Regulations Part P, fixed lighting circuits must be installed or certified by a qualified electrician. Most installations involve connecting to a standard BESA backbox or existing wall light wiring.
Can this wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable, but you'll need to fit a dimmable G9 LED bulb (sold separately) and ensure your dimmer switch is LED-compatible. Older dimmer switches designed for halogen bulbs often cause flickering or poor performance with LEDs, so check compatibility or upgrade to a trailing-edge LED dimmer if needed.
What type of bulb does the Kiro Pure White wall light take?
It takes a single G9 capsule bulb. G9 bulbs have two small loop pins and are widely available in LED form. You'll want to choose a G9 LED in warm white (2700K–3000K) to suit the fitting's warm glow, though the final light colour and brightness are entirely down to which bulb you install.
What are the dimensions of the small Kiro wall light?
The small Kiro measures 205mm wide, 165mm tall, and projects 120mm from the wall. That 120mm depth means it sits quite proud of the surface, so bear this in mind if installing in a narrow hallway or beside doorways where clearance matters.
Can I use this ceramic wall light in a bathroom?
No, the Kiro has an IP20 rating, which means it offers no moisture protection and is only suitable for dry interior spaces. UK bathroom zones require at least IP44 (often IP65 for zones 1 and 2), so this fitting is not compliant for use in bathrooms.
Which rooms or areas is the Kiro wall light best suited for?
The Kiro works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and dining areas where you want soft, indirect wall-washing light rather than a direct beam. Its cone shape throws light up and down the wall, making it ideal for ambient lighting, flanking artwork, or adding warmth to alcoves and feature walls.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
