A little magic after dark.
Hand-cast in a small Portuguese studio, the Kiro is a wall light that behaves more like a piece of ceramics than a fitting. Its cone-shaped shade throws light both up and down, washing the wall above and below in a soft, glare-free glow rather than pointing a beam into the room. In Pure White — a crisp, gallery-clean white — it reads as quiet architecture by day and turns into a warm band of light after dark.
Patrícia Lobo casts, paints and glazes every Kiro by hand at LOBO Atelier, so slight variations in tone and surface are part of the piece and no two are quite the same. The Large measures 235mm wide x 135mm deep x 200mm high and takes one G9 bulb up to 40W (a 4W LED is ideal, bulb not included), dimmable with a dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer. Hardwired for indoor wall mounting. Made to order in Portugal.

It connects directly to your mains electrical supply, typically via a BESA box or standard wall-mounted backplate. Installation involves isolating the circuit, making the mains connections, and securing the 900g ceramic fitting to the wall, so professional installation is both legally required and recommended for safety.
What type of bulb does the Kiro large wall light take and is it dimmable?
The Kiro uses a single G9 capsule bulb, which you'll need to purchase separately. It is dimmable, provided you fit a dimmable G9 LED bulb and have a compatible dimmer switch installed on the circuit. For best results with the ceramic shade's warm glow, choose a G9 LED in 2700K-3000K with around 300-400 lumens.
What are the exact dimensions of the large Kiro wall light?
The large Kiro measures 235mm wide, 200mm tall, and projects 135mm from the wall. This means it sits relatively proud of the wall surface—over 13cm—so you'll want to ensure it's positioned where people won't knock into it, such as flanking a bed, above a console table, or in a hallway with adequate clearance.
Can I use the Kiro ceramic wall light in a bathroom?
No, the Kiro is rated IP20, which means it's suitable for dry indoor locations only and offers no moisture protection. UK bathroom regulations require at least IP44 (or higher zones demand IP65+) for fittings near water sources, so this wall light should be kept to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and other dry spaces.
Does the Kiro wall light cast light into the room or just up and down the wall?
The Kiro's cone-shaped ceramic shade is designed to throw light upwards and downwards along the wall rather than projecting a beam outward into the room. This creates a soft, ambient wash of light on the wall surface—ideal for mood lighting, accent illumination, or flanking a feature—but it won't work as a primary task light or room floodlight.
Is the Pure White finish on the Kiro a warm white or a bright white?
Pure White is a crisp, cool-toned white finish—described as gallery-clean—so it reads as a bright, neutral white rather than a warm cream or off-white. The ceramic material itself is this clean white colour; the warmth in the light effect comes from your choice of G9 bulb colour temperature, not the fitting's finish.
