01 / The feeling
Sculptural Calm, Overhead
A soft dome of textured white that brings the calm of wabi-sabi philosophy into your home. This generous 60 cm flush light casts a gentle, ambient glow across bedrooms, living rooms or any space where ceiling height is precious. The matt stone-effect finish adds sculptural interest overhead whilst keeping the mood serene and uncluttered — contemporary minimalism with an artisan touch.
Perfect for low ceilings where pendants won't work, the Washi sits close and unobtrusive. The moulded resin composite delivers the look of natural stone without the weight, and it's fully dimmable when you fit a dimmable E27 LED bulb (max 7W, not included). Suitable for plasterboard, timber joists or concrete ceilings. IP20 rated for indoor use, hardwired installation with earth required.

Good to know
A few questions,
before it comes home.
Does the Washi 60 cm flush ceiling light require an electrician to install?
Yes, as this is a hardwired ceiling fitting, installation must comply with Building Regulations Part P in England and Wales. Unless you are a qualified electrician or competent person, you'll need to hire a registered electrician to connect it safely to your mains circuit and issue the necessary certification.
Can I dim this stone-effect flush ceiling light?
Yes, the Washi is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmable E27 bulb and a trailing edge dimmer switch. You'll need to ensure both the bulb you choose and your dimmer are compatible with each other — LED bulbs typically require trailing edge (not leading edge) dimmers for flicker-free performance.
What size bulb does the 60 cm Washi ceiling light take and is one included?
This fitting takes a single E27 screw-in bulb with a maximum wattage of 7W, which suits modern LED bulbs perfectly. A bulb is not included in the box, so you'll need to purchase an E27 LED separately — choose a dimmable one if you plan to use a dimmer switch.
Is this flush light suitable for a bathroom or wet room?
No, the Washi has an IP20 rating, which means it's only protected against solid objects and offers no moisture protection. It's designed for dry indoor spaces like bedrooms, living rooms and hallways — not bathrooms, wet rooms or any area where it may be exposed to moisture or steam.
How big is the 60 cm Washi and will it suit a low ceiling?
The fitting measures 600 mm in diameter and projects 310 mm down from the ceiling, making it quite a deep dome. It's a flush-mount design ideal for rooms where you want to avoid a pendant drop, but you'll need to account for the 31 cm depth — particularly important in rooms with lower ceilings or where headroom is a concern.
What warranty does this stone-effect ceiling light come with?
The Washi is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. It is both CE marked and RoHS compliant, meeting UK safety and environmental standards for electrical products.
