Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro ceramic wall light need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes. The Kiro is hardwired into the mains and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations. It typically mounts onto a standard BESA box or wall back box with a permanent mains connection. This isn't a plug-in fitting, so DIY installation isn't permitted unless you're qualified and can certify the work yourself.
What type of bulb does the Kiro large wall light take?
The Kiro uses a single G9 bulb (capsule type). G9 bulbs are widely available in both halogen and LED versions — we'd recommend a warm white LED G9 for energy efficiency and longevity. The fitting is dimmable, so if you want dimming functionality, make sure to choose a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch.
Can I use this wall light in a bathroom?
No. The Kiro has an IP20 rating, which means it's suitable for dry interior locations only and offers no protection against moisture. For bathrooms, you'd need a fitting rated at least IP44 (IP65 for shower zones). This light is ideal for hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas instead.
Is the Kiro ceramic wall light dimmable?
Yes, the fitting itself is dimmable, but you'll need two things: a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch installed on your lighting circuit. Not all G9 LEDs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging for dimming compatibility. If you're using an old dimmer designed for halogens, it may need upgrading to work properly with LED bulbs.
What are the exact dimensions of the large Kiro wall light?
The large version measures 235mm wide, 200mm high, and projects 135mm from the wall. It weighs 900g, so it's substantial enough to feel quality-made but light enough to mount on plasterboard with appropriate fixings. Bear in mind the 135mm projection when positioning it — you'll want adequate clearance in hallways or beside doorways.
Does the Kiro wall light come with a bulb included?
No, the G9 bulb is not included and must be purchased separately. This allows you to choose your preferred colour temperature (warm white, cool white, etc.) and whether you want a dimmable LED or halogen version. A single lampholder means you'll need just one bulb to get it working.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
