Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Ravenna wall light require an electrician to install?
Yes, this is a mains-powered 230V outdoor wall light that must be hardwired into your electrical supply. Under UK Building Regulations Part P, any fixed outdoor lighting installation must be carried out or certified by a qualified electrician, as it involves work in a location exposed to the elements.
What IP rating does this wall light have and can it be used in exposed outdoor locations?
The Ravenna has an IP54 rating, meaning it's protected against dust and water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for most outdoor locations such as porches, doorways, and covered patios, but it's not fully waterproof and should ideally be installed under some shelter or overhang for longevity.
What type of bulb do I need and is one included?
This fitting requires an E27 ES (Edison Screw) bulb with a maximum wattage of 15W, but no bulb is included with the light. You can use either a traditional filament bulb or an LED equivalent—we'd recommend a 6-8W LED E27 bulb for optimal brightness and efficiency in an outdoor setting.
Is the Ravenna outdoor wall light dimmable?
Yes, the fitting itself is dimmable, but you'll need to install a compatible dimmer switch and use a dimmable E27 bulb. Standard LED bulbs are not always dimmable, so check the bulb packaging confirms it's suitable for dimming to avoid flickering or poor performance.
What are the dimensions of this wall light?
The Ravenna measures 300mm in height, 180mm in width, and projects 176mm from the wall. It weighs 2.7kg, so you'll need to ensure it's mounted to a solid surface with appropriate fixings—standard plasterboard plugs won't be sufficient for a fitting of this weight.
What warranty does this outdoor wall light come with?
This wall light comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, misuse, or natural wear to seals and finishes in outdoor environments, so proper installation by a qualified electrician is important.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
