Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Does the Senja cloud pendant light require an electrician to install?
Yes, this is a hardwired ceiling fitting and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting connects directly to your mains ceiling circuit, typically to a BESA box or existing ceiling rose position. While the installation difficulty is rated as easy for a professional, DIY installation is not permitted for hardwired lighting in the UK.
Can I dim this cloud pendant light?
Yes, the Senja is dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and a trailing edge dimmer switch. You'll need to purchase both the bulb and dimmer separately, as neither is included. Trailing edge dimmers are specifically designed for LED bulbs and prevent flickering or buzzing that can occur with older leading edge dimmers.
What bulb do I need for the 80 cm cloud pendant?
This fitting requires one E27 screw-in bulb with a maximum wattage of 7W. No bulb is included, so you'll need to purchase an E27 LED bulb separately. The 7W limit is typical for modern LED fittings and will provide ample light output while keeping energy consumption low.
How big is this pendant light and what ceiling height do I need?
The fitting measures 80 cm wide and 64 cm deep, making it a substantial statement piece best suited to larger spaces like dining rooms or double-height hallways. With a 2-metre cable length, you'll have flexibility to adjust the drop height, but you should account for at least 2.1–2.4 metres of clearance above floor level once hung to avoid head strikes.
