Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light require an electrician to install?
Yes, the Kiro is hardwired directly into your mains supply and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. It will typically mount to a standard wall box or BESA connection. The fitting cannot simply be plugged in, so factor in the cost of professional installation when budgeting for this light.
Can this wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable provided you fit a compatible dimmable G9 bulb and have a suitable dimmer switch installed. Not all G9 LED bulbs dim smoothly, so choose a quality dimmable LED capsule and check it's compatible with your dimmer type (leading or trailing edge). The fitting itself supports dimming, but the bulb and switch combination determine the final result.
What type of bulb does the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light take and is it included?
The Kiro takes a single G9 capsule bulb, which is not included and must be purchased separately. G9 bulbs are small bi-pin capsules commonly available in LED (recommended), halogen, or eco-halogen versions. For best results and energy efficiency, opt for a warm white (2700K) dimmable LED G9 with around 300-400 lumens.
What are the dimensions of the Large Babouche Yellow Kiro wall light?
The Large Kiro measures 235mm wide, 200mm high, and projects 135mm from the wall. At 900g it's a substantial ceramic piece, so ensure your wall can support the weight and that the projection won't obstruct narrow hallways or tight spaces. The cone shape directs light up and down the wall rather than outward into the room.
Can I use the Kiro wall light in a bathroom?
No, the Kiro is rated IP20, which means it's suitable for dry indoor locations only and offers no protection against moisture. It cannot be safely installed in bathrooms or any other areas where it might be exposed to water or high humidity. For bathrooms you'll need a fitting rated at least IP44 or IP65 depending on the zone.
Does the Babouche Yellow colour show through when the light is on?
Yes, the hand-cast ceramic is translucent enough that when lit, the Babouche Yellow glaze creates a warm ochre glow both upward and downward on the wall. This effect is part of the design—the colour and material work together to cast a softly tinted wash of light rather than plain white illumination. By day it reads as a sculptural yellow ceramic object; by night the colour intensifies into a warm band of light.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
