Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes. The Kiro is hardwired, which means it connects directly to your mains electrical supply rather than plugging into a socket. Under UK Building Regulations Part P, any new installation or modification to fixed lighting circuits in a home must either be carried out by a qualified electrician or certified through Building Control. Most installers will mount it to a standard BESA box recessed into the wall.
What type of bulb does the Kiro wall light take and is it dimmable?
The Kiro uses a single G9 capsule bulb, which is a small two-pin halogen or LED type commonly available in the UK. It is dimmable, but you'll need to use a dimmable G9 LED bulb and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer switch on your wall circuit. Standard G9 LEDs are available in various colour temperatures, typically from 2700K warm white up to 4000K cool white.
What are the exact dimensions of the large Kiro wall light?
The large Russet Brown Kiro measures 235mm wide, 200mm tall, and projects 135mm from the wall. It weighs 900g, so it's substantial but not excessively heavy. These dimensions make it well-suited to flanking a bed, lighting a hallway, or as feature lighting in a living room or dining area.
Can I use the Kiro ceramic wall light in a bathroom?
No, the Kiro is rated IP20, which means it's suitable for dry indoor environments only and offers no protection against moisture. UK bathroom zones require a minimum of IP44 (or IP65 in shower zones), so this fitting is not compliant for bathroom use. It's ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and dining areas instead.
Does the Kiro wall light cast light into the room or only onto the wall?
The Kiro's cone-shaped ceramic shade is designed to throw light both upwards and downwards along the wall, creating a soft wash of ambient light rather than projecting a beam outward into the room. This makes it a feature light for mood and atmosphere rather than a task light, and it's completely glare-free when viewed from typical eye level.
Is the Kiro wall light available in other colours or sizes?
Yes. The Kiro is available in multiple colour finishes beyond Russet Brown, and it comes in more than one size option (this is the large version). The exact range of colours and sizes can be found on the product page, where you can switch between variants to compare dimensions, finishes, and pricing.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
