Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Taoka travertine pendant require an electrician to install?
Yes, the Taoka is hardwired (not plug-in) and must be installed by a qualified electrician to comply with Part P Building Regulations in England and Wales. The installation itself is straightforward — it mounts to standard ceiling fixings on plasterboard, timber joists, or concrete — but electrical connection to the mains must be carried out by a registered professional. The fitting is Class II (double insulated), so no earth connection is required.
What bulbs do I need for this 4-light pendant and is it dimmable?
You'll need four E27 screw-in bulbs, each with a maximum wattage of 12W (LED bulbs recommended). The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a trailing edge dimmer switch. Bulbs are not included, so choose warm white (2700K–3000K) LED E27 bulbs to complement the natural travertine and wood finishes.
What are the dimensions of the Taoka linear pendant and how long is the cable?
The Taoka measures 650mm in width, making it ideal for dining tables or kitchen islands approximately 1.2–1.6 metres long. The suspension cable is 1.3 metres long, which allows flexibility in positioning the four travertine shades at the right height above your surface. The linear arrangement of the four lights provides balanced illumination across the length of a table.
Can this travertine pendant be used in a bathroom?
No, the Taoka has an IP20 rating, meaning it offers no protection against moisture and is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms or any other humid or wet environments. For kitchens and dining rooms with normal domestic humidity levels, it is perfectly suitable.
Is the travertine finish the same on every pendant or does it vary?
Each Taoka pendant features genuine travertine stone, so the natural veining, texture, and tonal variation will differ slightly from piece to piece. This means your fitting will be unique, with organic markings and honeyed tones that are characteristic of real stone. The overall travertine beige finish remains consistent, but expect beautiful natural variation across the four shades.
What warranty does the Taoka pendant come with and does it cover the stone elements?
The Taoka is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty that includes all components, including the travertine and wood elements, against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, misuse, or accidental breakage. As travertine is a natural material, minor surface variations and inherent characteristics are not considered defects.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
