Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light require an electrician to install?
Yes, the Kiro is hardwired and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. It typically mounts to a standard BESA box or backplate and connects directly to your mains wiring. If you're replacing an existing wall light in the same location, the job is usually straightforward, but any new circuit work must be certified.
Can this wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable, but you'll need to fit a compatible dimmable G9 LED bulb and ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED loads. Not all G9 LEDs dim smoothly, so look for bulbs specifically labelled as dimmable. Trailing edge dimmers tend to work best with LED G9 capsules and produce less flickering than leading edge types.
What G9 bulb do I need for the Kiro wall light?
The Kiro takes a single G9 capsule bulb (the small two-pin type). Because it casts light upwards and downwards along the wall, a warm white LED (2700K–3000K) in the 3–5W range works well to create the intended soft glow. Avoid halogen G9s — they run very hot and are now phased out in the UK, and LED capsules are far more efficient and longer-lasting.
Can I use the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light in a bathroom?
No, this fitting is rated IP20, which means it's only suitable for dry indoor areas with no moisture exposure. UK bathroom zones require higher IP ratings (typically IP44 or above), so the Kiro should be used in living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, or dining areas instead.
What are the exact dimensions of the Large Cocoa Brown Kiro?
The Large Kiro measures 235mm wide, 200mm tall, and projects 135mm from the wall. It weighs 900g, so it's substantial but not overly heavy. These dimensions mean it suits medium to larger walls — it will look undersized on very expansive surfaces but works beautifully flanking a bed, in a hallway, or either side of a fireplace.
Does the Kiro throw light into the room or just up and down the wall?
The Kiro is a wall-washing fitting — its cone-shaped ceramic shade directs light upwards and downwards along the wall surface, creating soft ambient illumination rather than task lighting. It produces very little glare and won't project a beam into the room, making it ideal for mood lighting, accent walls, or adding gentle background light without harsh brightness.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
