Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light require an electrician to install?
Yes, the Kiro is hardwired and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. It will typically mount to a standard wall electrical box or BESA outlet box. The fitting weighs 900g, so ensure the mounting surface and fixings are suitable for this weight.
What type of bulb does the Kiro Macchiato wall light take?
The Kiro takes a single G9 capsule bulb (not included). G9 bulbs are small bi-pin capsules available in LED or halogen versions. For best results with the dimmable function, choose a dimmable LED G9 bulb with warm white colour temperature (2700-3000K) to complement the Macchiato finish.
Can the Kiro wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable, but you must use a compatible dimmable G9 bulb and ensure your dimmer switch is rated for the bulb type you choose. LED G9 bulbs require LED-compatible trailing edge dimmers, whereas older halogen bulbs work with standard rotary or leading edge dimmers.
What are the dimensions of the Large Kiro wall light in Macchiato?
The Large Kiro measures 235mm wide, 200mm high, and projects 135mm from the wall. This projection means the fitting will stand proud of the wall by just over 13cm, so ensure you have adequate clearance from doorways, furniture, or circulation spaces.
Can this ceramic wall light be used in a bathroom?
No, the Kiro is rated IP20, which means it has no protection against moisture and is only suitable for dry indoor locations. For bathroom use, you would need a fitting rated at least IP44 (or IP65 for zones 1 and 2).
What kind of light effect does the Kiro wall light produce?
The Kiro's cone-shaped ceramic shade directs light both upwards and downwards, creating a soft wash of light on the wall rather than projecting into the room. This gives an indirect, ambient glow that's ideal for hallways, bedrooms, or living spaces where you want atmospheric lighting without glare.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
